At this point, petty threats from America’s Commander in Chief are as common as forks in the kitchen. Still, Donald Trump seems to be on a real tear today. The president took a break from lashing out at Bruce Springsteen this afternoon to fall back on a different pastime—threatening Comcast. The triggering incident was a question about his $400 million Qatari jet from NBC News reporter Peter Alexander, which he asked during a meeting between Trump and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Deadline reports

Apparently, Trump didn’t let Alexander finish his question before launching into the following tirade: “You know, you ought to get out of here. What does this have to do with the Qatari jet? They are giving the United States Air Force a jet, OK? And it’s a great thing. We’re talking about a lot of other things, and it is NBC trying to get off the subject of what you just saw. You are a terrible reporter. Number one, you don’t have what it takes to be a reporter. You are not smart enough.”

“You ought to go back to your studio at NBC, because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place, they ought to be investigated,” he continued. “They are so terrible [the] way you run that network. And you are a disgrace. No more questions from you.”

If you’re getting déjà vu, this isn’t the first time Trump has been pissed at NBC or its parent company, Comcast. He suggested that the company should lose its FCC license during his first term, and recently launched an investigation into Comcast’s DEI practices after calling out Seth Meyers over a joke he didn’t like. He also lashed out at ABC News and Bob Iger, CEO of ABC parent company, Disney, over the network’s own jet-related questions earlier this week.

That’s all on top of his ongoing feuds with Paramount and 60 Minutes, NPR and PBS, and pretty much everyone else whose opinion he happens to disagree with. At least there are still reporters out there willing to ask him tough questions.
