Two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro says “horse cock” in new Dirty Grandpa trailer

Saying that Robert De Niro, once one of the most respected actors of his generation, doesn’t seem to give a shit about what projects he takes anymore is such a tired complaint that it makes you look almost as doddering and clueless as one of De Niro’s recent, inevitably foul-mouthed characters. (Meet The Parents was 15 years ago already, believe it or not.) So while De Niro is busy saving up for his private island or whatever is going through his head these days, we’re going to grin and pretend to enjoy the cliched, oddly fertility-obsessed high jinks in the new Dirty Grandpa trailer.

This being the red-band trailer, that means that we get to see what’s supposed to be so funny about this movie, which is De Niro saying he wants to “fuck, fuck, fuck.” That’s hilarious! He’s, like, old! But this being movie-land, that won’t stop attractive young women from throwing themselves at him anyway. Here, that attractive young woman is Aubrey Plaza, who is new enough to the bad-movie game that we can still be disappointed in her. Then there’s Zac Efron, who makes all those hours at the gym count by smoking movie crack and doing the Macarena wearing nothing but a stuffed animal on his crotch. Pretty sure that’s not what crack does to you, but what would we know? Our grandpas never took us to Daytona.
