Wes Anderson's next movie has a title and the added whimsy of Johnny Depp
Two irresistible forces of cinematic quirk will collide with Johnny Depp now confirmed to star in Wes Anderson's next film, playing an unspecified role that may neither require nor allow heavy makeup, in a rare experimental exercise for Depp. However, Anderson has already said that the film—which will also likely star Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Adrien Brody, Jude Law, and Angela Lansbury—takes place in Europe, leaving open the possibility that Depp will get to do some sort of mumbling, indeterminately continental accent and/or play a mime or gypsy or gypsy-mime. What we do know for sure right now is that the film is titled The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Judi Dench and the other stars of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel are probably getting ready to jump Anderson in a dark alley. So watch out, Wes Anderson.
