What could Donald Trump have meant by “easy D” besides the obvious?
It’s important to contextualize the distractions of Donald Trump’s latest stupid tweet against the slate of apocalyptic policies the Steve Bannon administration pursues. For example, while the world still reacts with organized dissent and bureaucratic chaos as a result of the Muslim ban, his team is quietly pursuing a “vicious” executive order on deportations, according to The Intercept. And while that is worth talking about, it is almost impossible to do so when Trump is out here firing off tweets like this:
Sigh. Goddammit, Donald. The above tweet, ostensibly issued in defense of his indefensible Muslim ban, was mana to the hungry hordes of Twitter users eager for their daily bread. And while what he probably meant was “easy decision,” he also definitely was talking about getting dick. Vice sent out a reporter (to a Brooklyn Chipotle) to ask what the phrase meant, and the resounding answer was dick. Many on Twitter concurred, unleashing a cavalcade of dick jokes unseen since, well, probably the presidential debate in which Donald Trump talked about his dick size.

Or perhaps Easy D was Trump’s old rap name? (There were surprisingly few Heavy D jokes.)
And, while all the energy spent riffing on Trump’s off-hand but extremely bizarre comment could’ve been better spent, say, organizing visible protests, others among the digital wasteland attempted to tackle the real issue. Thread:
Anyway, let’s never forget the day that was.
