Welcome to What’s On, our weekly roundup of notable shows. Here is what’s happening on TV from Sunday, September 14 to Saturday, September 20. All times are Eastern.
The biggies
The Primetime Emmy Awards (CBS, Sunday, 8 p.m.)
Who will (and should) come out on top at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards? We recently answered that very question for the ceremony’s 15 big categories (although putting your money on The Studio is never a bad idea). The A.V. Club plans to cover the Nate Bargatze-hosted telecast, which also livestreams on Paramount+, throughout Sunday night.
Gen V (Prime Video, Wednesday, 12:01 a.m.)
Things are not looking particularly sunny in The Boys spin-off, considering Homelander’s (Antony Starr) reign is wreaking havoc on campus and God U’s new dean (played by Hamish Linklater) is determined to turn Supe students into soldiers, developments that force Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her peers to fight back. The A.V. Club will recap the show each week.
Also airing
Black Rabbit (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
