Will Smith doesn't want to be "the sequel guy," unless it's sequels to Men In Black, Hancock, or Bad Boys
Though the last several years have seen producers scramble to find a way to further franchise Will Smith beyond merely commissioning more of his children, Smith himself isn’t all that into it: "I don't want to be the sequel guy," Smith said while promoting Men In Black 3, the irony of his statement further compounded by the allowance that he "isn't ruling out" Men In Black 4, Bad Boys 3, or Hancock 2. In fact, the only sequel he doesn't seem all that enthusiastic for is that proposed I Am Legend follow-up, for which he already more or less conveyed his level of interest by exploding. "Producers are working on it. I’m not actually. If it’s great, I’m into it," Smith said, before clarifying that he didn't mean "into it" as in actually in it.
