You have until 2018 to prepare for the Jurassic World sequel
In a shocking and unexpected turn of events, Universal Pictures seems rather eager to schedule a sequel to what just became the third-highest grossing film of all time. The as-yet-untitled Jurassic World Sequel (Jurassic Planet? Jurassic Galaxy? Jurassic Space Jam?) has been scheduled for June 22, 2018, giving the ladies and sartorially adventurous gentlemen in the house a little less than three years to learn how to run in heels.
Deadline also reports that stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return for the sequel, which will be written by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow. Trevorrow is not attached as a director, however, furthering long-standing speculation that he might be directing an upcoming Star Wars/Star Wars Saga movie. Trevorrow is also busy developing an alien movie for his mentor/BFF Steven Spielberg, but would probably drop that as well for the chance to work in the only franchise more powerful than Jurassic World 2: Your Sister Is An Indominus.
