After months of staff changes and behind-the-scenes turmoil, 60 Minutes returned for its 59th season last night. As expected, the show brought some hidden camera footage, a one-time staple of the show that was redeployed here for a story about buying pardons from the White House. The show also did a piece on an Air Force member who was shot down over Iran (complete with an interview with Pete Hegseth, who reportedly lobbied for the story to be included) and a story about Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay. And the episode ended with a word, not from Stephen A. Smith or John McEnroe, but Ross Douthat.
