A new Farscape movie is reportedly in the works, as is a new HBO show for Peter Dinklage
Neatly filling the “non-Star Trek outer-space show” slot during the gap between Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica, Farscape ran for four years in the early 2000s, placing Earthman and audience surrogate John Crichton in the midst of a galaxy populated by a menagerie of aliens. After the show was abruptly cancelled, producer Brian Henson gave fans a series finale in the form of a three-episode miniseries, Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. Now, 10 years later, Henson is looking to revive the show with a made-for-TV movie focusing on Crichton’s now-teenage son. No word yet on where or when the show will air—although. as the original aired on what was then the reasonably-spelled Sci-Fi Channel (as well as Australia’s Nine Network, where the show was created), SyFy’s probably a good bet.
