A treasure-hunting tale born on the web

Back in 2005, a mysterious British Internet…person (gender-neutral) concocted an innocuous-enough plan: Bury £9,000 worth of cash, and set up a website with a Da Vinci Code-style mystery to solve, leaving would-be treasure hunters to the dough. Not many took the challenge seriously, as the first set of clues—a disconnected series of comic strips—was far too difficult for most. Also: The Internet is distracting. But one intrepid, mood-swing-prone guy took it upon himself to crack the code, and his adventure is captured in "Internet Story," a nine-minute-long documentary that's part animated, part YouTube footage, and totally compelling. How far will a man go to become rich beyond his wildest dreams for about a month and a half until the money runs out? It's complicated:
