American Horror Story’s Alexandra Breckenridge to appear on The Walking Dead
According to Deadline, American Horror Story’s Alexandra Breckenridge will be joining The Walking Dead for a recurring role on its current season. She’ll apparently be playing someone named Samantha, a character who is described as “an attractive, strong, smart, charming, and articulate woman who also has a vulnerable side.” That’s obviously a very specific description, the likes of which have never been seen on TV before, but Deadline narrows it down even more by saying “she’s a mother with a bohemian spirit, and a talented artist.” Though it might not seem like it, being a talented artist is actually a very useful skill to have during the zombie apocalypse. Someone has to paint all of those spooky “Don’t Open, Dead Inside” messages, so it might as well be someone who knows what they’re doing.
However, as Deadline points out, AMC likes to keep Walking Dead as secretive as possible, so there’s a good chance Breckenridge is actually playing someone from the Walking Dead comics that the show is based on. Are there any bohemian artist mothers in the books? Because that would probably be a big clue. Also, we assume that whenever someone other than Dylan McDermott looks at Breckenridge’s character, she’ll appear as Frances Conroy.
