At least Tom Cruise’s upcoming co-star liked Digger
In her first Letterboxd review, Anne Hathaway gave Digger five stars and urged followers, as the marketing directed, to make up their own minds about the flailing satire.

Hoping for a peaceful and productive Days Of Thunder 2 set, Anne Hathaway posted her admiration for the flailing satire, Digger, on Letterboxd. The movie opened to $8 million, received decidedly mixed reviews, and earned a C+ Cinemascore from general audiences. Nevertheless, it has gained an almost immediate cult following, with movielovers and contrarians nationwide proclaiming Digger “not as bad as they thought it was going to be.” Consider Hathaway part of Digger nation. In her first and, as of now, only Letterboxd review, Hathaway gave the film five stars and, echoing the last-minute marketing pivot of the film, wrote, “It’s worth making the time to see and decide for yourself what you make of it.” Calling the film “brilliant,” as well as “smart and trippy and aggressive and funny and ambitious,” Hathaway loved Digger.
