Bad Day At The Office enters the first-person void in bonkers new trailer

Every few years or so, some audacious filmmaker gets the wild idea to give first-person perspective another shot. Sometimes those movies become drug-fueled cult classics (Enter The Void) or one of the best films of the decade (Nickel Boys). Others, like Hardcore Henry, become interesting experiments, dizzying curios that attempt to harness the popularity of first-person shooters for the Jason Statham set. Bad Day At The Office belongs in that category.

Director Chee Keong Cheun aims to make you the main character with Bad Day At The Office, a first-person action movie starring John Hannah, Radha Mitchell, Tamer Hassan, Lana Parrilla, Tim Fellingham, Roxanne McKee, Branko Tomović, and Victor Gardener. The film follows an amnesiac named Karl (Hannah) who awakes in a destroyed hotel room with a splitting headache and a dead body in the bathtub. Using GoPros to film the first-person chaos, Cheung follows the mystery man with a particular set of skills he can barely remember and a hotel maid (Radha Mitchell) as they unravel a confusing mystery that took his memories.

Bad Day At The Office was an intense, very physical, technically complex and thrilling creative journey,” Cheung said in a statement. “I was fortunate to have a truly amazing cast and crew who helped me realise this crazy epic vision. I’m excited to be able to share this film with audiences and hope they will have as much fun immersing themselves and going along for the ride as we all had making it.”

Bad Day At The Office opens in the UK and Ireland on October 30.
