Between Two Ferns is somehow becoming a Netflix movie
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is going to turn Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis into a movie, even though the original series is about funny celebrity interviews and doesn’t strictly have, you know, a story. That’ll presumably change for the movie, with the THR story implying that’ll star Galifianakis as the version of himself who hosts the show, so it could be something like the Wayne’s World movie but with Zach Galifianakis being rude to famous people. Speaking of famous people, production on the movie is currently happening in secret, but Peter Dinklage, David Letterman, Keanu Reeves, Ed Helms, and Bradley Cooper are all set to appear (at least according to “sources”). Hopefully iconic Between Two Ferns guest Barack Obama will have time to make an appearance, since he’s working with Netflix anyway.
The movie will be directed by Between Two Ferns co-creator Scott Aukerman (Netflix Directorman), so we can also count this as some kind of Comedy Bang Bang movie.
