Bill Murray's Rock The Kasbah adds a lot of famous people and Shia LaBeouf
Not wanting to needlessly risk America’s best and brightest Bill Murrays, the producers of the upcoming Rock The Kasbah have followed the announcement that they will deploy Murray to Afghanistan with the news that they will also send a reinforcement squad of famous people, plus Shia LaBeouf. LaBeouf—who has repeatedly reminded everyone that he isn't famous anymore, as part of a performance art piece exploring new ways to make performance art insufferable—will join other, still-famous people like Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, and Danny McBride in the Barry Levinson-directed comedy. As reported earlier, the story finds Murray playing a washed-up music manager stranded in Afghanistan who discovers a talented young singer and attempts to launch her career through Afghanistan’s version of American Idol. No word on who the others will be playing, but we do know the title is based on a song Shia LaBeouf released with his classic punk band, The Conflict.
