Cate Blanchett to play Lucille Ball in new Aaron Sorkin biopic
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Cate Blanchett will be starring in a new biopic about comedy legend Lucille Ball, written by Aaron Sorkin—a man whose convoluted, fast-paced dialogue starts at “Vitameatavegamin,” and only gets more complicated from there. The film will apparently focus on Ball’s 20-year marriage to Desi Arnaz, with Blanchett playing the famed comedienne. (Arnaz, who co-created I Love Lucy with Ball, and remained friends with her even after their 1960 divorce, has yet to be cast.)
