Chicago, see Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken early and for free
Once seen as Hollywood’s Billy Bob Thornton-licking wild child, Angelina Jolie has become a world-saving humanitarian, a supermom of six, and a feature film director. Her next directorial effort is Unbroken, the true story of Olympian Louis Zamperini’s fight to survive a war, a near-fatal plane crash, six weeks marooned on a lifeboat, and a Japanese P.O.W. camp. The film stars Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock, Miyavi, and rising talent Jack O’Connell as Zamperini. Unbroken opens on December 25, but The A.V. Club has an opportunity for you to beat the holiday rush and see it for free on December 17.
