Christina Hendricks joins Dark Places as a stripper
While we all await the final season of Mad Men, Christina Hendricks will be keeping busy with three new films. She recently signed on to Dark Places—along with Gone Girl, the second upcoming adaptation of a Gillian Flynn bestseller, this one about rural poverty and Satanic cults in the '80s. Joining the already-cast Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Corey Stoll (House Of Cards) and Andrea Roth (Rescue Me), Hendricks will play Krissi Cates, a stripper haunted by a secret from her past and a brother (Stoll) who's in jail.
As previously reported, Hendricks will also work in a fetish club in How To Catch A Monster, a supernatural noir directed by Ryan Gosling and adapted from the adolescent fantasies of every straight male in America. And she'll be directed by her TV costar John Slattery in God's Pocket, in which it sounds like she'll actually get to use her considerable acting talents and not just take her clothes off.
