Comedy Central is getting back to comedy. This morning, the channel announced Comedy Central Stand Up Selects, a reinvention of Comedy Central’s long-running digital stand-up series known as Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring. Over the years, the series has featured comics like Dylan Adler, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, Brandon Wardell, Gianmarco Soresi, Mary Beth Barone, and many more. Now, there’s a new slate of up-and-coming comics, which The A.V. Club can exclusively reveal below. Time will tell where these comics end up, but we’d like to give a special acknowledgement to Skyler Higley, a former colleague at our former sister site The Onion.
In addition to the full list of comics coming to the screen this season, The A.V. Club can also exclusively debut the first set from Ian Edwards. Edwards’ set certainly is timely, taking on how damn expensive everything is, especially amid a war with Iran. “Gas is so high it doesn’t even feel like we’re winning the war/ These feel like losing prices,” he jokes a couple minutes into the set. “I wanna lose this war. I can’t afford to win any longer.” Elsewhere in the set, Edwards also takes on topics like ICE and The Odyssey.
Comedy Central Stand Up Selects is produced in partnership with Hoff Studios and will roll out new episodes weekly through January 2027. Take a look at the whole roster and Edwards’ set below.
