Contemplate mortality with this slowed-down version of “Worthless” from The Brave Little Toaster

1987’s The Brave Little Toaster is an all-around strange film. It essentially follows the plot of Toy Story 3, but instead of centering on a boy and his beloved toys, it centers on a boy and his beloved household goods, including a toaster, a radio, a lamp, a blanket, and a vacuum cleaner. Having survived various near-death experiences after being separated from their owner, these five appliances wind up in a junkyard. This supposedly lighthearted children’s movie then features a song called “Worthless” in which the junkyard cars reminisce about their pasts and curse the futility of life before being crushed to death.
