Cruel Intentions is returning to theaters and we are ready, we are ready, we are ready

Cruel Intentions, the steamy 1999 romance you couldn’t buy a ticket to because it was rated R, is returning to theaters later this month. Yes, 20 years since asking your ticket-taker friend to sneak you in, you can now buy your very own ticket to the movie where Ryan Phillippe sleeps with everyone in order to sleep with his step-sister.

Adapted from the 1782 novel Les Liasons Dangereuses and buoyed by a soundtrack that couldn’t possibly be more late ‘90s, the movie follows Phillipe’s Sebastian, who bets his step-sister, Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar), that he can claim the virginity of Annette (Reese Witherspoon), the daughter of their prep school’s headmaster. Meanwhile, Selma Blair steals the movie as sweet, inexperienced Cecile, another of Sebastian’s many conquests.

Cruel Intentions will play nationwide for one week beginning March 22.
