An unnamed film buff with remarkable access to Hollywood's archives has created Fuck Yeah Behind The Scenes, a Tumblr full of on-set photos of movies new and old, and fascinating info about each. See the casting wish-list for The Godfather (Francis Ford Coppola pretty much got his first choices across the board), or Roddy McDowall getting into makeup for Planet Of The Apes, or Ray Harryhausen adjusting a skeleton from Jason And The Argonauts for a three-minute sequence that took four months to shoot.

Learn about Kurosawa having to beg for more money because producers were convinced Seven Samurai was going to be a flop, or how Coppola asked Roger Corman for advice on shooting Apocalypse Now in the Phillippines and Corman wisely suggested, "Don't go," or how Bill Murray improvised the "Cinderella story" from Caddyshack in one take, based on two lines of direction from Harold Ramis. In short, don't plan on getting any work done for the rest of the day, because the list goes on and on.
