FX’s TV adaptation of Taika Watiti’s What We Do In The Shadows has proven itself to be a fresh, hilarious spin on the original film, with Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, and Mark Proksch ably stepping in as a gaggle of bumbling, power-hungry bloodsuckers. Now, with four episodes left in its first season run, FX has revealed that the vampires will return for a second season of verité hijinks.
“Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi, and Paul Simms have more than delivered on the high expectations of Shadows fans by adapting the cult classic for television and building a passionate base of new and returning fans,” said FX’s Nick Grad in a press release that singles out Shadows for feeding on the coveted 18-34 demographic.
This Wednesday’s outing, written by Clement, will find Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja put on trial before an international vampire tribunal that, we’ve heard, will include a familiar face or three. Check out a trailer for it below.
