FX will give Judy Greer and Nat Faxon a new sitcom home this summer
Judy Greer and Nat Faxon—those crazy kids who have given it their all, but just can’t seem to make it work with other sitcoms—have been handed another chance, as a couple of crazy kids who try, but just can’t seem to make it work. FX has picked up 10 episodes of Married, the previously reported comedy from Andrew Gurland that will find Greer playing a wife whose waning libido prompts her to let her husband, played by Faxon, have sex outside their otherwise-happy marriage. More than just giving these two actors the stable sitcom life they’ve long deserved—and giving husbands everywhere the ammunition to gently suggest that, well, it seems to work for the couple on that one show—Married will also provide sanctuary for other wandering TV nomads Jenny Slate and Brett Gelman, and thus already has several reasons to pull for it. At the same time, FX also gave 10 episodes to You’re The Worst, a comedy from Weeds and Orange Is The New Black writer Stephen Falk about “two self-destructive people who fall in love.” Terrible relationships, this July on FX.
