Garbage (the band) is going on a world tour

After taking a short hiatus in the early 2000s, grungy alternative rock band Garbage is back. Strange Little Birds, its second album since the end of that hiatus, is set to come out on June 10, and now Pitchfork is reporting that Garbage has announced a big world tour in support of it. Lead singer Shirley Manson and her pals will kick things off by hopping around a bunch of festivals in Europe, followed by a stop in the band’s home state of Wisconsin for a show at Milwaukee’s Summerfest. Garbage will then mostly stick around the midwest and the eastern half of the United States until August, at which point it’ll wrap up the tour with another couple of festivals in Europe.
