Global Force Wrestling to bring more than wrestling to wrestling

The Biggest Loser creator David Broome has joined TNA founder Jeff Jarrett to executive produce a new wrestling league called Global Force Wrestling. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jarrett and his wife started planning GFW when they were unable to purchase TNA (despite the help of Toby Keith, apparently). Now, with Broome on board, GFW is quickly moving forward, and it’s aiming to feature more than just the usual dramatized matches of its WWE and TNA counterparts.

“It just won’t be a bunch of wrestling matches… TNA or WWE right now is match after match after match. Global Force Wrestling is not going to do that,” Broome says. “There will be matches, but there will be a lot more and a lot more variety placed into the actual events that will be really innovative and fresh.” In others, probably a reality show aspect or something. Broome tells THR that both broadcast and cable networks are very interested in GFW, which already has more than 500 performers, both famous and up-and-coming, lined up to wrestle and do more than wrestle.
