Han meets his one true love in the new Solo TV spot
What, you thought we meant Leia? No, we mean the longest and truest love of Han Solo’s life, the girl he loved and lost and loved again—the Millennium Falcon. In the dynamic new TV spot for Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover, stealing the show already) introduces Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) and his crew of rogues—including Emilia Clarke’s Qi’Ra and Woody Harrelson’s Tobias Beckett—to the hunk of junk that Han will pilot for the next few decades.
We don’t get to see the actual card game that won Han the keys to the Falcon in this brief one-minute teaser, but we do get one of Han’s signature narrow escapes and hear Glover’s contrarian pronunciation of his name—a linguistic quirk Glover picked up from original Lando Billy Dee Williams, presumably to avoid angering his mom.
Solo: A Star Wars Story blasts into theaters on May 25, 10 days after its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
