HBO renews Animals for a third season of philosophizing vermin
When HBO first ordered its animated comedy series Animals—created by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano, and produced by the Duplass brothers—it was so confident in the show’s combination of frank conversations and animated rodents that it picked it up for two full, 10-episode seasons. That confidence apparently paid off for the cable network, because Variety reports that the series has now been gifted with a third year on the air.
