Yes, Sandra Hüller is in Avengers: Doomsday

Friday was an interesting evening for Doomsday news. THR‘s report hit as a squirrelly new look at the superhero jamboree aired during Game 1 of the World Series, featuring Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards throwing out the opening pitch using his cosmic-given stretchy powers as the MLB peanut gallery gave color commentary. (Pro baseball players Freddie Freeman, Jacob Misiorowski, Bryce Harper, Randy Arozarena, and Junior Caminero appeared in the spot.)  

Details about Hüller’s role, which is said to be a cameo, remain under wraps, though some say she could play alongside Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom as a Latverian witch. Others insist the Anatomy Of A Fall actor will portray Doom’s sainted mother during what we’d assume would be a dramatic mid-film flashback. (Doom, like Thanos before him, will have some “dramatic motivation catch-up” to do throughout his big debut movie.) We’ll see how Hüller deploys her raw, devastating acting talents in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Avengers: Doomsday smashes into theaters on December 18.
