HBO renews Treme for third season
Even though viewership is down—with only 605,000 viewers tuning in for the second season premiere, as opposed to last year’s 1.1 million—HBO has renewed Treme for a third year, the network sticking to its philosophy that the ratings just don’t matter as much as quality. Also probably a factor: That they’d never hear the end of how they “just didn’t give it a chance,” which they’ll probably to grant it at least one more season in order to avoid. Not that we’re complaining.
