As reported by Variety, Netflix boss Ted Sarandos has revealed the the streaming service’s The Witcher show—based on Andrezej Sapkowski’s novels and not the video game series from CD Projekt Red that is also based on those novels—is coming relatively soon. Talking about Netflix’s plans for the rest of the year in an earnings call, Sarandos noted that The Witcher will be coming in the “fourth quarter,” which could mean any point between October and December of this year. He also mentioned that the show is currently filming in Hungary, though Variety’s story suggests that production is still in the relatively early stages for the show’s first, eight-episode season.
