May marks the arrival of Hulu and George Clooney’s ambitious, high-minded adaptation of Joseph Heller’s literary masterpiece Catch-22, a seminal American novel that’s yet to receive the onscreen treatment it so deserves. You’ll probably be watching it through sunglasses and a scrim of lotion, though, because hot on its heels will be the hard bodies of Baywatch, kicking sand in Clooney’s face while provocatively bounding along Los Angeles’ crystalline shoreline. Surf’s up, nerds.
We’re not talking about The Rock’s sunburnt film adaptation, either—the adventures of David Hasselhoff’s Lt. Mitch Buchannon and Pamela Anderson’s C.J. Parker will be completely remastered for the streamer, ensuring each pec is given its appropriate glisten.
