Oh, also, it’s the mansion where Phil Spector murdered actress Lana Clarkson (star of 1985's The Barbarian Queen) in 2003. He shot her in the mouth and then tried to play it off as an accident and also as a suicide. After a mistrial the first time around, Spector was eventually convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 19 years in prison. Now you can live in that house! Of course, $5.5 million is a lot of money, and there’s gotta be similarly appealing French-style chateaus in the Los Angeles area where a famous man didn’t murder somebody—even if you will have to look around a bit to find one.
