Time and again, Canterbury, England’s Holy Pinto has drawn favorable comparisons to The Front Bottoms. It’s easy to see why, as both play earnest pop-punk with a twinge of twee running beneath it all. On April 8, Soft Speak Records will release Holy Pinto’s debut album Congratulations, but The A.V. Club is streaming it in full right now. Though the band’s lineup has since grown, Congratulations is the product of the band’s time as a two-piece, with Aymen Saleh and Ryan Hurley turning in performances that make the album feel far bigger than its membership would imply.
