Homeland Security is investigating the Leslie Jones hack
In contrast to Twitter, which had to be publicly shamed into doing anything about the assholes who made a sport out of flinging online hate at Leslie Jones—part of the company’s seeming general indifference towards abuse and harassment on the social-media platform—The Department of Homeland Security is quickly stepping in to investigate yesterday’s hack of Jones’ website. The Ghostbusters actress, who is having a way worse week this week than the one she spent in Rio, was the victim of an online attack that led to her website being compromised and sensitive personal information and pictures being leaked.
