Italian horror masters Goblin to release new EP, tour North America
Delighting lovers of obscure music and semi-obscure film, legendary Italian horror soundtrack masters Goblin recently reformed and announced a tour. The dates for that run are below, but for those not in major markets, don't despair, for there's still a way to hear some Goblin in 2013. The group has also re-recorded four of its classic tracks—“Profondo Rosso,” “Roller,” “Suspiria,” and “Tenebrae”—and will release them on a new EP, which comes complete with cover art by Nightmare On Elm Street and Evil Dead designer Graham Humphries. That record will be pressed onto 180 gram red vinyl, and will be out in stores Oct. 15 via Death Waltz, the British label that puts out amazing LP pressings of soundtracks to films like Donnie Darko, They Live, and Let The Right One In. For those fortunate enough to be able to see them live, it will also be available at Goblin’s merch table.
