Jackass 3.5 will be released online in weekly installments
Despite earlier rumors that Paramount would capitalize on the success of Jackass 3-D by cobbling together a rushed-to-theaters sequel out of leftover footage, the studio has announced that it will instead capitalize on its success by debuting said sequel on the Internet. Jackass 3.5 will be released in weekly online installments, then packaged as a feature-length film to be distributed digitally as well as on DVD. As reported previously, it will be pulled from the wealth of scenes—“Enough for two movies,” Johnny Knoxville says—shot for Jackass 3-D, along with some additional stunts staged in Europe specifically for the sequel, and which somehow resulted in Knoxville getting staples in his head. “There is still more poo, stunts, and hilarity to go around on every screen imaginable,” says MTV. You’ll be able to spread some poo and hilarity on your computer screen beginning in March.
