Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David are working on something and/or nothing again

After years of working on scripts that were literally about nothing—because they didn’t actually exist—Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David are now allegedly working on something, collaborating on a script for the first time since David returned to write the Seinfeld finale in 1998. The impending return of more something about nothing was, appropriately enough, revealed amid the endless procession of nothing that is a Reddit Ask Me Anything, where Seinfeld gamely answered questions about his old show and Superman in order to promote his web series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. In response to a question from “ToTheBongGuy”—indeed, hail to him—about “the most mundane thing you and Larry have obsessed over,” Seinfeld surprised everyone by saying we might see soon enough that this subject remains a bottomless well:

We never obsess over anything that isn't mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling. We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can't reveal what it is at this time. All I can do is tell you is that it's big, huge, gigantic. Even bigger than that Amazon package.

That last sentence was in reference to a Reddit-circulated photo of a giant Amazon package, though anything beyond that remains open to speculation at this point (except for a Seinfeld reunion, any demand for which was pretty much answered with Curb Your Enthusiasm’s seventh season). So what’s bigger, huger, or more gigantic than an automobile-sized Amazon box? Obviously: Chunnel. That’s 32 miles of hell.
