John Mulaney's sitcom might see the light of day after all
The comedy world may get to see John Mulaney’s sitcom after all: Deadline is reporting that, after NBC passed on the pilot, Fox is interested in Mulaney. The New Girl and Mindy Project network has reportedly ordered an updated version of the script, with the idea that if it likes said script, the show will get a six-episode order, with hopefully more to come.
While that’s good news, it's worth nothing that the version of the pilot some saw and loved saw and loved probably isn’t what would show up on Fox, and some casting changes will be made. While Martin Short and Mulaney are still in, all other actors—including Nasim Pedrad and Elliott Gould—are no longer officially attached.
