The husband of Jonathan Joss, the slain King Of The Hill voice actor who was shot dead by his neighbor Sunday, posted a statement about the murder on Facebook, attributing the killing to homophobia. Joss’ widower, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, says that he and his late husband were repeatedly harassed by neighbors, who allegedly burned down their San Antonio home, killing one of their dogs. The attack followed years of “threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire.” Though these threats were reported to law enforcement, “nothing was done.”
“My husband Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home,” the statement reads. “That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.”
