Knicks owner James Dolan wrote a morose ballad about his friend Harvey Weinstein

James Dolan, the owner of the New York Knicks and a longtime friend of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, has recorded a bluesy folk song with his band JD & The Straight Shot about Weinstein’s fall. The song is called “I Should’ve Known,” but according to The New York Daily News (via Vulture), Dolan says it’s not strictly about Weinstein. “I’ve talked to a lot of other people who know these folks and wonder what [they] could have done,” Dolan says, adding, “If you’re friends with a lot of these people, a lot of them are people we never would have thought that about”—suggesting that nobody could’ve possibly suspected that Weinstein was allegedly using his position of power to sexually abuse women.
