Jessica Jones is back, baby. Krysten Ritter’s fan favorite hero-turned-private-investigator is returning to screens after a six year hiatus. Ritter will reprise the role for Daredevil: Born Again season two, as she and Daredevil star Charlie Cox announced at Disney’s upfront presentation, which was attended by The A.V. Club, today. “It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders and now joining the MCU,”  Ritter said on stage. “I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”

Jessica Jones first appeared in Netflix’s Jessica Jones, which ran for three seasons before its cancellation (along with fellow Netflix Marvel shows like The Punisher and the original Daredevil) in 2019. Ritter also reprised her role for The Defenders in 2017.

Daredevil: Born Again takes place several years after the events of Netflix’s Daredevil, which ran from 2015 through 2018. Cox again stars as blind lawyer/masked vigilante Matt Murdock. In the first season, he was joined by Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Jon Bernthal and more. Disney hasn’t set an exact premiere date for season two as of this writing, but it’s currently expected to arrive March 2026. You can revisit our coverage of the first season here.
