Lady Gaga is not interested in Dr. Luke’s bullshit

Just a few days ago, we reported that Lady Gaga had been subpoenaed to testify in court as part of Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald’s ongoing legal battle with Kesha over her allegations that he abused her physically and verbally, with Gaga being forced to testify regarding a written statement she gave the court about things Kesha may have told her about Gottwald. Her statement apparently “redacted too much” to be useful, which is why Gottwald’s lawyers are now bringing her in.

Over the weekend, a representative for Gaga released a new statement to Variety that basically says she has little patience for any bullshit that Gottwald and his legal team are trying to pull. “As Lady Gaga’s legal team will present to the court, she has provided all of the relevant information in her possession and is at most an ancillary witness in this process,” the statement says, adding, “Dr. Luke’s team is attempting to manipulate the truth and draw press attention to their case by exaggerating Lady Gaga’s role and falsely accusing her of dodging reasonable requests.”

Gaga has been one of Kesha’s supporters for a while, and she revealed in 2014 that she was also raped by a producer when she was just building her career, but it sounds like Gottwald’s plan here is to make it seem like she’s more involved in Kesha’s side than she really is while simultaneously making it look like she doesn’t know anything about what’s going on.
