Let us honor our glorious dead with toys commemorating '80s movie death scenes
Many details from movies past slip easily from the mind. We may forget specific characters and even entire plot points, but the gnarly deaths wrought by the ‘80's best SFX gurus are never forgotten. They live on, shining bright, gore-soaked, and eternal.
Dan Polydoris, the artist who created Death By Toys, is celebrating this with a line of custom toys depicting a handful of the era’s most righteous deaths. According to the Death By Toys website, the figures are repurposed from “a bunch of different toy lines, including GI Joe, Star Wars, Fisher Price Adventure People, and a few randoms” and, aside from those Polydoris decides to keep for himself, will mostly “wind up in the [site] store or on eBay at some point.”
