Further proving that he might be the most beloved human in America, LeVar Burton has managed to raise more than $1 million in the one day since he launched a Kickstarter to bring Reading Rainbow into classrooms and online. The total donations are currently nearing $2 million, with more than 40,000 backers and no signs of slowing down. According to the updated Kickstarter details, Burton and company will be sharing new stretch goals in the next couple of days, since they already have more than enough funding to bring Reading Rainbow into more than 1,500 classrooms for free.
