Oops! M3GAN does it again in new M3GAN 2.0 trailer

M3GAN is bigger, badder, and, most importantly, taller in her second outing.

Oops! M3GAN does it again in new M3GAN 2.0 trailer

Hold on to your vaginas, everyone! Yes, that’s a real line from the trailer for M3GAN 2.0, proving that everyone’s favorite dancing doll didn’t lose her signature sense of humor on the franchise assembly line. The new and improved (and, per her request, taller) M3GAN is back for blood, as she actually teams up with her human creators to take down a new, not-so-cute foe.

In the new film, a powerful new robot named Amelia was created using M3GAN’s original code, leading to this great bit of dialogue: “How is this possible? We deleted it,” Gemma (a returning Allison Williams) says, to which a man responds, “Apparently, you didn’t.” Sometimes, it’s okay to throw “yes, and” out the window.

Meanwhile, M3GAN herself has been confined to a “plastic Teletubby” body after her murder spree from the movie 1.0, which she’s obviously very upset about. She only threatened to rip out Gemma’s tongue and put her in a wheelchair because she was upset! She can’t be held responsible for that!

Luckily for M3GAN, the humans need her help to take down Amelia, leading to a whole lot of robot-on-robot action set to Britney Spears’ “Oops!… I Did It Again.” It’s clear just how hard Blumhouse is trying to recapture the immediately-viral tone of the first trailer, but it’s hard to be upset about that when it’s this fun.

M3GAN 2.0 also stars returning actors Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, and Jen Van Epps. The film sashays into theaters on June 27.
