Today Marvel Comics unveiled an online archive of 2,500 of its back issues (available as read-at-site pages rather than downloads). The service costs $10 a month or $60 a year, and Marvel hopes to draw more readers into its 40-plus-year continuity than they do through typical back-issue and trade collection sales.
