Michael B. Jordan is producing a movie about black liberators in WWII
Fresh from his time in Wakanda, Michael B. Jordan is setting himself up to take on a very different set of Black Panthers, with Variety reporting that the Creed star has begun production on a new film about America’s 761st Tank Battalion in World War II. Made up primarily of black soldiers—and recognizable for their distinctive black panther insignia—the segregated battalion has been frequently held up as one of the most effective of the war, fighting in several major battles, and liberating a number of concentration camps as the Allies advanced on Germany.
