Michelle MacLaren to make her big-screen directorial debut, again
TV producer and director Michelle MacLaren—whose credits include Breaking Bad, The X-Files, The Walking Dead, and Game Of Thrones, a.k.a. pretty much every show you’ve loved for the last however many years—is gearing up to once again make the move to film, after dropping out of directing Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman last year. Variety is reporting that MacLaren has been tapped to direct The Nightingale, an adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s World War II coming-of-age story. The New York Times Bestseller—published in 2015—tells the story of two French sisters who struggle to survive the German occupation of their home.
