Michelle Wolf still isn't finished eating the White House Correspondents' Dinner

Seeing through the smoky eye and the unnecessary controversy, Michelle Wolf dropped a new special about her infamous set for the Trump White House.

Last month, the White House Correspondents Association showed its commitment to free speech by relieving Amber Ruffin of her roasting duties at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Long assumed to be a roast of the political-media industrial complex and the current administration, the WHCD is going a different route this year because the president’s feelings might get hurt. Instead, it’ll be just some dinner that the president won’t attend but will surely mock on Truth Social, as is his wont.

While cowardly and asinine, we understand why WHCA didn’t want a repeat of Michelle Wolf’s set from 2018. Readers might remember her comments about Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ “smoky eye” that upset the snowflakes across the country, as Wolf’s critics did their best to cancel her. We’d point out the irony if this weren’t the most common thing in the world. But we digress; Wolf has moved away from political humor in the past few years, particularly after working on the Daily Show-esque The Break. However, now that she’s “no longer constrained by Daddy Netflix,” Wolf can spend WHCD week making fun of her horrible hosting experience.

It’s Dinner Time, and Wolf is hungry for more. Dinner Time is the new Michelle Wolf stand-up special streaming for free on Punchup. Though seven years late, her new set is a good reminder of how stupid the controversy was as she dives into her expectations for the WHCD set and the fallout from jokes she thought weren’t spicy. But Wolf wasn’t through with dinner yet, she also debuts new and cut WHCD jokes for any stomachs still grumbling for Sarah Huckabee-Sanders jokes.

“There might not be a comedian at the Correspondents’ Dinner this year, but the good news is: I have some leftovers!” Wolf said. “I’ve been holding onto this set since 2022, and with everything going on, now felt like the right moment to share it exclusively on Punchup, a platform where comedians can release their own uncensored material without the constraints of any network or streamer.”

Dinner Time is available for free on Punchup.Live now. In addition to Dinner Time, Punchup hosts Wolf’s weekly live-streamed comedy show from her home in Barcelona, so you’ll have plenty of comedy to watch now that it won’t be on the WHCD.
